June 13th 08 - Windy day on the Wolds

I was sick of being stuck indoors again so decided to head over to Huggate on the Yorkshire Wolds where I knew there were some great views of the countryside. It was a fairly windy day but the sky was very dramatic so I took the camera along just in case.

This spot was just off the Huggate to Middleton road so I parked up and walked a little way into a field and set up my tripod. I had to take a few shots before I got a steady view of the trees and fields in the background. I used a solid ND filter to give me a longer than normal exposure time, making the crop in the field move in the photo to show the wind. I'm really pleased with the result and will use this technique again.
